Dr Grant Blashki (MD, MBBS, FRACGP) is a practising GP at the Better Health Network in South Melbourne and an Associate Professor at the Nossal Institute for Global Health at the University of Melbourne, where he leads the Masters subject Planetary and Global Health. A major focus of his current work is the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare. He is an Advisory Board Member of the Australian Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and an Advisor to the Data and AI Advisory Council at Beyond Blue, where he was previously Lead Clinical Advisor.

His three themes of research are 1) Digital Health—including AI in clinical practice, 2) Primary Mental Health Care, and 3) Climate Change and Health. He also has expertise in Genetics in Primary Care and Primary Health Care in China.

Alongside his clinical and academic roles, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Monash Climate Health Initiative, an active media commentator, and Writer in Residence at Future Leaders books.

He is active on LinkedIn and has co-authored over 99 peer-reviewed publications, 9 books and 10 apps. He is the lead editor of the textbook General Practice Psychiatry, which has been translated into Italian and Mandarin. He was also the lead developer of the Monash University / University of Melbourne Masters of General Practice Psychiatry, which trained over 150 doctors by distance education and for which he received a Monash University Silver Jubilee Prize for Teaching. He has been a chief investigator on numerous research projects.

He has been actively engaged in community work, including as Chair of the Environmental Working Party of the World Organisation of Family Doctors, a Board Director of the Australian Conservation Foundation, a mentor in the Al Gore Climate Leadership Project, a co-founder of Doctors for the Environment Australia, and a Member of the Strategic Advisory Group of the Climate Institute. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has served as an examiner for the fellowship.

He was a co-recipient of the Fundraising Institute of Australia's Major Grants award for philanthropic work, and a co-recipient of an Australian Evaluation Society Award for Excellence in Evaluation for his work on major primary health care reforms in Australia. He has completed the Principles of Responsible Investment Certificate in Applied ESG and the Australian Institute of Company Directors Climate Governance Certificate.
